Sewing wise: I wanted to make a dress for Christmas. I started on Butterick 4443 and it took 3 bodice muslins to get a decent fit. I did a quick muslin of the skirt to check the length adjustment I made and I hated the silhouette. I didn't want to give up on the sewing mojo so I decided to knock up a quick pencil skirt. It is almost done, bar a little handstitching. I'll post separately about that later in the week.
Knitting wise: I started a cardigan from A Stitch in Time vol 2 and had wild ideas of wearing it for Christmas. Well surprisingly this might actually happen as I only have the sleeves left to knit with a week to go! I'm off to buy buttons tomorrow. Here's a quick pic - the piece on the left has been blocked and the one on the right hasn't. The pattern totally opened up and looks great.
