Lacy wrap - WIP1 complete!

This whole "committing to finish your WIPs" thing has yielded one good result so far. Once I got on with the knitting on my lace wrap, it turned out that there wasn't that much left to do. I was about halfway through the second ball and just wanted to keep knitting until I ran out of yarn. This pic on the left shows it stretched diagonally over a king size bed. The finished wrap is over 2 metres long! But being Kidsilk haze it is still light as a feather and scrunches up nicely to be worn around the neck if you wish.

Let's skip over the fact I cast this on in 2009, ok? :) It only took that long to complete because I got bored and I probably hadn't touched it in about two years before this month...

I used Rowan Kidsilk haze in Jelly (2 balls). The pattern was given to me by a Rowan rep and has long since disappeared into the depths of my stash. Good job I committed the 2-row pattern repeat to memory!

On a different note, if you are near a Lidl this week their specials are knitting and sewing related. Here's a link to the Lidl website - I stopped by my local branch to pick up some sock yarn. Amazingly, considering the prices, the yarns are not all acrylic!

But back to the wrap, and I'll leave you with a gratuitous close up of yummy yarn and lacy stitches. Just because. Happy Monday!
